The bad thing about not throwing away old stuff is that your house can soon become full of clutter. The good thing about not throwing things away is that there is always something to dig into and there is always a useful gem hidden in amongst all that stuff. We have a family of eight or nine members living in this house (dependent upon how well we treat the daughter's latest boyfriend) and so there is enough stuff here to fill a large-sized house. It is my boy's birthday so I thought I'd build him a test rig, a machine to test and build new hardware and install

I was thinking of a plan
to dye one's whiskers green
and only use so large a fan
that they could not be seen.
But I was thinking of a way
To feed oneself on batter,
And so go on from day to day

This is me trying to shake some sense into Tony, the developer.
However, I have had an idea that is equally as mad which could mean that all those abandoned Xwidgeteers could create their widgets as Rain Widgets.

Xwidget strikes back!
The designer of Xwidgets recently returned to the Xwidget community with a re-issue of the Android version of Xwidgets. It has been reported that he has been working on a new version of the xwidget engine for the desktop but we have seen nothing up until now...
Tony has just dropped a demonstration version of the new Xwidget designer onto the forum for developers to try. It is a cut-down version of the final thing, lacking features and missing essential components as it is still heavily under development. However, it works!
